Minnesota Hockey is a recognized leader nationally in the design of programs to train, educate and nurture players, coaches, officials and parents.

USA Hockey Boys Advanced 15, 16 and 17 - formerly known as Select 15, 16 and 17 these programs identify and develop the elite 15, 16 and 17 year old hockey players in Minnesota. Minnesota Hockey Advanced Festivals are held in April with over 1,000 Candidates trying to make teams in each age category representing Minnesota at the USA Hockey nationals.  USA National festivals are held in June, July and August at various sites around the country.   2008 BrochureAdv 17 Boys Spring BracketAdv 16 Boys Spring Bracket.

 USA Hockey Girls Advanced 15, 16 & 17  - formerly known as the Girls National Development Camp Program - This program has changed from previous years and will use single year age groups.  This programs identifies and helps develop the elite 15, 16 and 17 year old female hockey players in Minnesota.  Players are nominated through their HS or youth coaches.  Minnesota Hockey Development Camp Festivals are held in late-March.  Candidates at this festival are evaluated for selection to USA Hockey national camps.  National camps are held in July and August at various sites around the country. 2008 Brochure       Player Profile Form

Ted Brill Minnesota "Great 8" High School All Star Festival - this program showcases the talented elite high school seniors in Minnesota.  Coaches from each high school section choose players to form a section team to play in the showcase.  This program is run in partnership with the Minnesota State Boy's High School Coaches Association.  A team of 20 is chosen to represent Minnesota in the Boy's Chicago Showcase High School tournament.  2008 Great 8 brochure. - Player Profile Form              Contact:  Paul Moen - 344 - 13th Avenue South - South St. Paul, MN 55075; (651) 451-1459 Fax - (651) 451-1459 - Email: moensie2@msn.com 

Boy's High School Chicago Showcase - this team showcase the talents of elite hockey seniors, in a national competition, who do not have a Division 1 college scholarship or a Junior team commitment.  This team chosen from the players participating in the Great 8 Festival.

Minnesota Hockey Dave Peterson Advanced Goalie Camp - Now in its fourth year, this goalie development program is designed to improve the skills of Minnesota's top goalies.  Candidates are invitied to participate based on their performance in the USA Hockey /Minnesota Hockey boys and girls Advanced 15-16-17 programs.  Invitations are mailed in the Spring.  This overnight camp includes nine hours of on-ice training and nine plus hours of off-ice training.  The camp is limited to 48 goalies.  The staff features Minnesota's top college and high school goalie coaches.  The camp is held at the Schwan SuperRink.  Camp Director - Steve Carroll, 612.869.2719 or steve@carrollgs.com.


Satellite Training Program (STP) - Exclusively for Minnesota 12-15 year old boys and girls who played Bantam A, B1, or PeeWee A, B1 or 14 & Under and 12 & Under during the past season Minnesota STP is designed to offer players from within the Minnesota hockey community an opportunity to develop at the local level. Satellites are formed at the local association level by local coaches for on-ice and off-ice development of player athleticism and individual fundamental skills during the off-season. 

Skill Development Program (formerly Initiation Program)- The mission for the Skill Development Program and the Under-8 Cross Ice Program is to provide the appropriate environment for players to acquire hockey skills and have fun while doing it.  It also provides the structure for Coaches to be successful as educators an develop on-ice success in teaching hockey skills to players.  By being trained in the Initiation Program coaches will be able to confidently provide the necessary instructions to assist these young players in their first hockey experience.
